An inspiring Charity of the Year partnership in action
We are incredibly grateful to Jonny and Giles of Right Pear for their fantastic support as part of their Charity of the Year partnership with Ups and Downs Southwest.
One of the many ways they’ve backed us this year was by taking on the Bristol Half Marathon, raising over £1,300 to support our work with children and young people who have Down Syndrome and their families.
Both Jonny and Giles completed the race in the spring sunshine, although not without challenges — Giles even ended up in A&E with heatstroke and dehydration, but thankfully made a full recovery.
Their determination and commitment are truly humbling.
For Jonny, this cause is particularly close to his heart as a proud parent of a child with Down Syndrome.
The pair’s efforts have not only raised vital funds but also awareness of the work we do and the importance of inclusion, support, and opportunity for all.
This was just one part of an incredible year of support from Right Pear, and we are beyond thankful for everything Jonny, Giles, and the wider team have contributed.
