George Bamford Fundraiser
Fantastic Fundraising Feat – Land End to John O’ Groats by Pedal Power
Huge Congratulations to George Bamford and all those who completed this amazing challenge with him. Setting off on Friday 3rd September 2021, this amazing group of human beings took just 10 days to cover 918 miles. They set a target of £10,000 to be shared across 10 local charities along their route. Ups and Downs Southwest was the nominated charity for the first leg, and we are so honoured to have been chosen. Well, the team smashed their target by a whopping 761% raising £86, 175!! (at time of publication).
It looks like they had plenty of support along the way and we really enjoyed seeing the pictures and videos as the team smashed out mile after mile. A huge thank you for every wheel rotation, every muscle ache and every hill climbed; a huge effort that will make a massive difference to all the charities supported. Also, a big thank you must go to all those who donated and kept this amazing team going with their messages of support – please know that every penny that comes to Ups and Downs Southwest will make a significant difference to the lives of children and young people who have Down Syndrome.
