Fancy a Challenge
Fancy a challenge?
The 2.6 Challenge has been set up to help charities across the country survive the next few months as we adjust to the way the Covid-19 pandemic has affected us.
The cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income through fundraising events has meant that many charities have had to reduce or stop services at a time when they are needed the most. Our charity alone has had to cancel 5 events which would have raised much needed funds to pay for our family events.
What is the 2.6 Challenge?
From Sunday 26th April we are asking you to complete the 2.6 Challenge by participating in any activity you like using the number 26. For example, running 2.6 miles or skipping 26 times. For more information and ideas click here https://www.twopointsixchallenge.co.uk
You can take part no matter what your age or ability is, just remember to practise the social distancing rules. Once you have chosen your #TwoPointSixChallenge, head to the ‘donate or fundraise’ buttons and choose Ups and Downs Southwest as your chosen charity, make your donation and then complete your challenge.
We would LOVE to see your photos/videos of you completing your challenge.
Use the hashtags #TwoPointSixChallenge #Doyourthing #UDSW You can share them on our Facebook and Twitter accounts or email them to michelle@upsanddowns.net for us to share.
We know that it is a really difficult time for everyone, any donation you are able to make will make a difference to us. This Saturday would have been our Easter party, why not donate the money you would have spent on refreshments and a raffle ticket to our cause.
Have fun completing the challenge and from all of us at Ups and Downs Southwest thank you for your support.
