Team Leader Family Support and School Liaison Worker (Bristol)

We’re Hiring: Team Leader – School Liaison and Family Support Services
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with Down Syndrome? Ups and Downs Southwest is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to manage and develop our Family Support and School Liaison Service in Bristol.

About the Role
As Team Leader, you will:
- Support, supervise, and manage our family support and school liaison team
- Develop and deliver training programs for parents and professionals
- Recruit and oversee volunteer befrienders
- Manage family support referrals and carry a small caseload focused on education
- Build strong relationships with schools, statutory providers, and other agencies
- Oversee the management of our youth club sessions and the youth worker.
What We’re Looking For
We need someone with:
- A Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g., social care, education, health)
- Experience in direct family support and working with children and young people
- Knowledge of Down Syndrome, special educational needs (SEN), and disability rights
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- The ability to work collaboratively and independently
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car

Location: Bristol
Hours: 24 Hours per week
Salary: £21,068 pro rata (£16.88 per hour)
This role requires flexibility, including occasional evening and weekend work.
