Goblin Combe
If you go down to the woods today …
Ups and Downs young people go camping.
What a great time we had on our first Ups and Downs overnight camp at Goblin Combe. Six amazing young people and volunteers enjoyed fire building, den making and who could build the biggest stick tower.
The Theresa May Team Tower won but hardly surprising as they had an engineer on their side. We had great fun making bow and arrows with sticks we gathered in the woods and even got to shoot them. It was great to see everyone working together from the activities to preparing their meals a gourmet menu consisting of homemade pizzas, wedges, coleslaw for tea and bacon and sausage butties for breakfast. Not forgetting our camp fire we built using all the skills we learnt in the day ready to toast our marshmallows and drink hot chocolate whilst listening to some good tunes with our karaoke kings and queens. W
hat an amazing time was had by all which we celebrated with our awards ceremony. Lots of new challenges for some and lots and lots of laughter. Roll on the next one.
