We are looking to produce a montage of photos for World Down Syndrome Awareness Day.
How can I take part?
1) Select a fact about Down Syndrome, write it on a bit of paper and ask your young person to hold it up. The whole family can get involved, not just the person with Down Syndrome. It doesn’t have to be written on paper, you could write on a t-shirt, on a black/whiteboard, we just need to be able to see the fact clearly.
As an example you could use:
People with Down Syndrome are not always happy and affectionate they are individuals and no different to anyone else in their character traits and varying moods!
Did you know? Down Syndrome is not a disease. People with Down Syndrome are not ill and do not “suffer” from the condition.
2) Take a photo
3) Send it to us firstname.lastname@example.org
4) We will put them together to launch in awareness week.
Regrettably, we may not be able to use all the photos in the montage but will try our best! Any we can’t use may be used throughout awareness week.
By sending us your photo, you are agreeing to the images being shared on our website and for social media purposes.
Deadline: 1st March 2017
Use your imagination and together we can raise awareness xx
